With a vertical wall bed, the wall bed is less wide and you therefore need a less wide wall than with the horizontal wall bed. When the bed is unfolded, it does enter further into the room. With a vertical folding bed, the headboard is against the wall. With a horizontal folding bed, you lie with your body along the wall. In general, this means that with a vertical wall bed you can get out on both sides and with a horizontal wall bed on one side or at the foot end.
